De Havilland D.H.53 Humming-bird - Lympne trials - Scratchbuilt, 1/72nd scale

Here is the De Havilland D.H.53 Humming-bird second prototype.
It changed colors and markings during its life, the model is based on one good photo seen on the Net.
The step-by-step construction post with some side notes is here:
A number of sources were consulted to make the model as accurate as possible.
Once again I have to thank Mika Jernfors of Arctic Decals for the making of the necessary marks.
You may get the 1/72nd Choroszy kit (Cat No A151) and make it into a very attractive civil model thanks to the Arctic Decals set. The Arctic Decals link is to the right of the page on the links column.
My gratitude also to Matías Hagen since I used a couple of cylinders from one of his exquisite resin engines and a superbly tiny and well-shaped prop he cast.

    1. Gracias Alain. En verdad, qué mano para el diseño tenía Geoffrey De Havilland.
