EMSCO Flying Wing, 1/72nd scale scratchbuilt

Here the completed model.
For the step-by-step building article please go to:

No small task, having to gather images and data, then draw first a sketched plan to be able to build this beauty -due to the absence of 3-views-, then fabricate the parts and putting them together. Fortunately Mika Jernfors came to the rescue with the decals I commissioned from his outfit, Arctic Decals.
Not an easy bird, with an immense amount of hours invested on it, but the effort is rewarded contemplating the absolutely graceful lines of the EMSCO flying wing, another outstanding design by Charles Rocheville (of Rocheville Arctic Tern fame).

  1. Exquisite, Claudio!

I didn't realize it had the backwards tricycle gear, the only other I've seen was on the Champion Tri-Traveler.

    1. Thanks for your kindness, John.
If I can gather more stamina I'd like to do the Vance and the Bryant, both in the same lines.
      best to you

    1. If you follow the link at the beginning of this post to the building article, you will see that I had to build the model based on constructions sketches I drew myself. There are no plans available of this plane that I know of. As I built this model time ago, the plans I made are lost somewhere inside piles of references.
