Matías Hagen from Argentina exquisite 1/72nd resin engine kits

I brought back from a recent trip to Argentina some of the fantastic engine castings made by Matías Hagen. Some of them are included in his kits.

The following pictures depict the types and their parts, all still without cleaning them up so you will see here and there a bit of the casting backing (which is reduced to a minimum due to the quality of the casts).

Matías is the head (and hands) of 72Topia:

And his Facebook page can be found here:

I have built and posted here in this blog many of his superlative creations. Send him an inquire if you want to support his work, as it's not easy to produce these marvels in Argentina.

The Gipsy I should be a suitable complement for the Avis and Amodel releases of the DH60 kit, allowing its display with minor mods or simply presenting it on a maintenance bench aside the model.

He is working now on a new kit, the Sfreddo & Paolini biplane. Look at his exceptional work! (his photos):

Some color is applied. A couple still need the exhausts and other details:

I just applied a little wash on the prop boss:

Building now the other Anzani 10 variant with the ribbed front. At this stage the rocker arms are added one by one. They are minute and care is needed. Thin metal pushrods will later be added -as with the other Anzani and Gnome Rhone- from the rocker arms to the crankcase:

We forgot to add the carburator and its stem to the package, so one is fabricated:

The level of detail goes up to a hollowed end of the exhaust:

The Anzani 10 completed:
