And here is the gallant figure of the Clark G.A.43, a passenger carrier of the 30's quite advanced for its time. Few were built and they ended up in different corners of the world, one of the them as a seaplane in Colombia.
Congratulations to SOVA-M for releasing this charming civil kit. It will require a bit of experience, but it can be built into a beautiful model. Modelers should consult references and look at photos before committing to the build of their chosen plane (SOVA released different liveries), for the sake of accuracy.
The step-by-step build can be visited here:

In this build the cabin door was opened and a full interior -bathroom and toilet roll included- provided. The position of the landing lights was corrected for this WAE plane, from the L.E. to under the wings, and one image of the decals that was deficient (the Native American WAE logo) was replaced by a home-made item (the rest of the kit's decals were perfectly ok). The cabin windows were replaced with clear stock to aid transparency, as an interior was provided.
This very plane was also released by Execuform as a vacuformed kit some time ago, and I built it (the link to that vac build is in the step-by-step article, following the link above).
I hope that SOVA keeps releasing civil planes, especially of these types that -if not vastly known- are quite appealing.
Another classic monoplane with outstanding metal tones! One of these days, you need to post all the 1/72 lavatories and baggage compartments you have built over the years! This one looks like a close cousin to the Vultee V-1A.

DeleteAnd it does indeed look a bit like one, as stated in the building post.
