Cessna Bobcat civil, PEMA-ENLO, Argentina - KP 1/72.

The somewhat chubby figure of the Cessna T-50 graced the skies for decades in a number of civil guises. Many attractive schemes can be reproduced, and in fact the civil version released by Kovozávody Prostějov has a nice decal sheet that caters for some of them. I decided to take another path though, and opted to represent an Argentinean machine used by a very small aviation company: "PEMA-ENLO", that bravely started operations in 1947 in the then still scarcely populated south of Argentina for a period of a few years, rendering important services to the communities of the region. This particular plane was brought to my attention by fellow modeler and countryman Alejandro Martinez Colombres, who very kindly provided the necessary information about it, my gratitude to him and those that documented the plane!

The two Cessna T-50 of PEMA-ENLO had somewhat different paint schemes, and at least one of them changed it during its service with the company. LV-NMP is the one represented here in what seems to be its original scheme, LV-NDJ was the other Cessna. PEMA-ENLO also operated two AVRO Anson.

The decals are from Arctic Decals in Finland, and, as usual, excellent, and allow the modeller the choice between full decals or partial decals combined with masks for airbrushing.

  1. Excelent result Claudio. The WIP is a modelling lesson in itself.
And thank you for your kind words.
    Alejandro.
