Yet another build of the nice Heller rendition of the D.H.89 Dragon Rapide, a seemingly timeless kit finished in this occasion as a machine still flying providing joyrides in England. It looks like the kit and the plane it represents will be around for even longer.
For some additional information and the building sequence highlighting some of the kit's issues that need correction, plus links to several other builds of this beauty, please refer to:

Details added: home-made lens under the nose, blade antenna also there, whip antenna on the back, rudder mass balance, nav light on wings and rudder, engine detail behind the nacelle air intake, fuel caps, fuel level indicator, anti-slip on wing step, two red beacons, wind-driven generator, four aileron actuators, a bucket inside the cabin for those that can't hold it, correction of the stab angle and its ribbing, rudder control horns and leads, and reshaping of the spinners.
A decal sheet from Arctic Decals was used to complete the model, as well as their masks set, and a few random photo-etched parts from different manufacturers.
