Junkers A.50ce Junior - Dekno 1/72nd scale resin and 3D-printed parts + Arctic Decals, ready to fly

This little corrugated sports/tourer/raid machine is ready to take off.

I really had a lot of fun building it and encountered no problems whatsoever, having only to tweak a couple of minor things. I already reserved another, the soon-to-be-released Japanese long flight machine on floats by the Arctic Decals/Dekno joint-venture.

I encourage you to read the step-by-step building post to find more about the plane and kit:

https://wingsofintent.blogspot.com/2023/06/junkers-a50ce-junior-deknos-172nd-resin.html

Dekno has done a very good job with this kit, the quality of the 3D-printed parts is excellent (unlike other kit manufacturers that offer 3D-printed kits that are crude and inaccurate).

I am so glad that I finally jumped at it, as it provided a nice model and a relaxed build (still, it won't build itself). I also learned a couple tricks that will come useful for the next Junkers Junior build, hopefully also helping to improve a bit the result.

One of the Junkers Junior was called Siberfalke (Silverfalcon), and another Silver Bird, and that is exactly how this particular plane looks like.

(Some of these photos, due to the combination of the cuteness of the model, the prevailing light and the angle, came out a little Wes Anderson-like 😊)

  1. Wow! Neat looking little sport monoplane, in the Klemm 135 category. Ho hum- your usual immaculate silver finished classic golden age monoplane . I am waiting for you to build a Gin Fizz and really show us your stuff!
