Bel Geddes Diamond T "Doodlebug" refueling vehicle - Brengun resin, 1/72nd scale

The gallant and streamlined figure of Bel Geddes’ "Doodlebug" can now be fully appreciated. This model of a very spiffy refueling truck would make an ideal companion for a Golden Age plane and enliven any era diorama. This is a resin kit from Brengun, with many pros and just a couple of cons.

More information about the vehicle and the kit is given in the step-by-step building article:

https://wingsofintent.blogspot.com/2025/04/bel-geddes-doodlebug-refueling-truck.html

The Diamond T as it was also known was present -according to sources- at the Chicago World Fair of 1933 and gained much notoriety due to its –by then- futuristic lines. The Net provides some information, but with a coupe of hiccups regarding accuracy. Graphics and photos can be easily found, although they are not abundant.

My thanks again go to friend and master modeler Tim Nelson, who made me aware of the existence of this kit, and who built an exceptional and inspiring replica from it, and to Tim Kalina who kindly provided additional information.
