Presented in different boxings along time, originally from the 80's according to Scalemates, this kit is part of a small group of gliders (and other types) released by this firm from Poland.
Gliders convey a sense of peace, serenity and pleasant silence. With their stylized lines, elegant proportions and slim figure they represent aerodynamic efficiency and at the same time radiate beauty. As you may have seen in the step-by-step building article…

…I like them a lot and have built a number of them, preferring in general the vintage types with their different design solutions over the more modern ones, which to me look somewhat too alike.
The hobby industry, if not overly fond of them, at least provides variety enough to satisfy the modelers so inclined, and you can find injected, resin and even vacuformed kits of them in diverse scales.
Simple of construction and generally requiring a shorter building time, they provide the modeler with a more relaxed project -and a nice result- with not too much effort.
I added a few details, refined a couple things and made my own decals as the kit's left quite to be desired.
Another beauty! Impeccable finish, as usual! iiRC Huma did some very nice injected German sailplanes back in the day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michael. That's right. I have one of their gliders in the stash.
